Our Projects

Parkside School

Value: £205,000
Client:East Sussex County Council
Duration:14 weeks

This project involved the replacement of the existing roof structure, which had been poorly designed causing excessive heat build up during periods of sunlight and making it very cold during the Winter months. The new structure and efficient modern insulated roof system allow for an ambient control of temperature and ventilation year round.

Internally, areas were modernised and upgraded. Mechanical and electrical adaptations and new installations were carried out to facilitate the new layout of the Library and Kitchenette areas.

Works included:

Replacing the roof structure and clad with a new insulated IKO covered roof, roof lights, windows and modern cladding to the sides.

Re-fitting out the library area to include:

-Electrical upgrades such as lighting that features ‘smart dimming’ and emergency lighting.

-New high level windows that open remotely using electric motors.

-Roof lights.

-Heating upgrades

-New entrance doors.

-IT suite.

-New flooring.

-The adaptation and extension of the local mains water service to the new kitchenette area.
