Sleaford and Gayton House
Refurbishment project involving critical life safety and electrical infrastructure upgrades to 2,200ft residential tower blocks, which were originally built in 1962 and comprising of 198no. residential flats. The works were part of a wider compliance and modernisation programme to enhance life safety systems, electrical infrastructure, building services and overall resilience.
Our works included:
- Installation of a new smoke extraction system to improve smoke control and ventilation in the event of a fire, enhancing resident safety and firefighter access
- Fire alarm system upgrade throughout all residential and communal areas
- FD60 fire door replacement
- Asbestos removal
- Small power & lateral mains upgrades
- Installation of a new busbar trunking system to replace outdated risers, enabling efficient power distribution to each flat and allowing for easier maintenance and future upgrades
- Installation of communal lighting
- New decorative cross corridor security doors for residents
