2-Week Work Placement

As part of our Social Value initiatives with London Borough of Lambeth, we were pleased to offer a two-week work placement to Queen who has recently graduated from Kingston University studying Quantity Surveying.

Queen’s two-week work experience placement was structured to provide a comprehensive understanding of both office-based and on-site activities. We would like to thank Ksquared, Women in Social Housing (WISH) London and Construction Youth Trust who kindly supported the placement and provided Queen with an insight into the industry.

During the placement we were extremely pleased with Queen’s performance and as a result have offered her a full-time position within the Niblock Team! We look forward to welcoming Queen into our procurement and surveying team next week.

We are currently ranked 2nd in London, Surrey, West Sussex, Kent, and Essex on Lot 4 & 5 for Electrical Works, and we very much welcome discussions about our projects and future collaborations.

London South Bank University Lecture

Last week, we had the privilege of delivering a lecture at London South Bank University as part of the Building Services Engineering course.

Our presentation focused on the Passivhaus Retrofit project currently underway for Lambeth Council. We provided an insightful overview of the project’s scope, programme, and the innovative retrofit technologies.

A special thank you to Benjamin Nixon from Baily Garner LLP and Loxley Reidfrom London Borough of Lambeth for joining us in presenting. Working collaboratively with Jodie Pitt and Paul Rayment from Niblock, it was a fantastic opportunity to showcase the collective expertise and dedication driving this project forward.

Excellence within the Niblock Team

satisfaction across all our projects. Alongside the work of our dedicated Resident Liaison Officers, our Site Managers play a pivotal role in creating positive relationships with residents.

We were delighted to receive exceptional feedback regarding our Site Manager, Steven Banks, going above and beyond at our current project for Harlow Council.

‘I visited the Wedhey project today with Steve. To say he was kind, nice, and professional is an understatement. I think everyone is well aware of how well he integrates with Residents, Leaseholders, Tenants alike – everyone thinks well of him. But today – he has exceeded himself – helping one of the residents through giving advise, and being unbelievably kind. He is an absolute credit to Niblock.’
-Janice Derry, Customer Care Officer, Harlow Council.
