Fashioning Poplar

“Fashioning Poplar” is a partnership project between Poplar HARCA, London College of Fashion, UAL, The Trampery and Niblock to create ‘Poplar Works’. Affordable low-cost workspaces designed to create a new fashion education hub and bring fashion back to its historic home in the East End of London.

A row of disused garages was partially demolished and formed the foundation for the construction of 40no. studios and workshops at Abbots Road and Teviot Street, creating much needed space for work and culture.

Our works included:

  • Complete Design & Build
  • Staged deconstruction retaining critical elements
  • Steel and Cross Laminated Timber Structure
  • Larch Cladding
  • Bespoke Window & Doors
  • Polycarbonate Panel Installation
  • Exposed Services Installation
