Miscellaneous Major Repairs 2024

The Department for Transport required renovations and upgrades to improve the functionality and aesthetics of its facilities.

Works included:

  • Niblock conducted validation surveys of existing services, including BMS, FCU’s lighting, water, gas services and ventilation
  • Replacement of plasterboard ceiling in the ground floor entrance area
  • Replacement of tiles in the entrance area

  • Installation of new plasterboard infills to the ground floor and 4th floor WCs

  • Installation of new grid ceilings and plasterboard infills in the 4th floor restaurant area

  • Replacement of the existing ventilation system in the 4th floor restaurant area

  • Adaptation of existing pipework to accommodate the new ventilation system

  • Rewiring of lighting circuits

  • Installation of new luminaires and emergency lighting to the ground floor entrance, lobby areas, WCs, and 4th floor front section including the restaurant and WCs 

  • Installation of new lighting controls and head-end equipment 

  • Upgrade of 1st and 2nd floor FCU networks, control panels and FCU controls
