University of Reading
As part of their drive to achieve carbon neutral targets by 2030, the University of Reading engaged Niblock to replace existing incandescent and fluorescent luminaires in five blocks on the Whiteknights Campus.
A collaborative approach with University staff, the University’s Maintenance Manager and Maintenance Team ensured the project was planned and undertaken with minimum disruption to the University’s day- to-day operations and all curriculum events (quiet study periods and exams), were unhindered.
As part of the upgrade, enhanced (”smart”) lighting controls were introduced to provide maximum energy savings.
Adopting the University’s labelling system, all fittings were allocated a unique asset number and bar code, with logbooks for future maintenance.
