Southwark Hostels
Three contracts with Southwark Council to convert 9no. existing hostel buildings into self-contained flats.
Our works included:
- Stripping out to shell and core
- Fireproofing and soundproofing
- Kitchen and bathroom installations
- Joinery renewal
- Complete new electrical and mechanical installations
- New fire doors
- Full redecorations
- Refurbishment, upgrade and redecoration of external and communal areas
Specific energy efficiency works:
- Ground source heat pumps
- Warm roof insulation
- Thermal lining to walls and ceilings
- Insulated suspended ground floor
- Windows draft-stripped
- Existing air bricks replaced with Ventaxia Fresh Vents which adjust ventilation levels to outside temperature
