Macmillan Coffee Morning
For the ninth year running, the Niblock team rolled up their sleeves, put on their aprons, and brought out their best sweet and savoury creations for our much-loved, annual ‘Bake Off’ Competition and Coffee Morning in support of Macmillan Cancer Support.
A big congratulations to Jordan Jenkins, who was crowned Star Baker this year with her delicious chocolate chip banana bread.
Thank you to everyone who took part with such enthusiasm and generosity. Your efforts helped raise vital funds for Macmillan, a charity that provides essential support to those affected by cancer.
Maddie Rose Day
Today, we turn yellow in recognition of Maddie Rose Day – a day dedicated to celebrating the life and lasting impact of Maddie Rose Hollamby.
Maddie was passionate about highlighting the diverse and fulfilling career opportunities within the construction industry to inspire young people to pursue a future in the sector.
Yellow was Maddie’s favourite colour and symbolises the positivity she brought to those around her. By adopting this colour, we honour her memory and support the incredible work being done in her name.
International Day of Charity
At Niblock, we believe in the power of giving back and making a positive impact in the communities we serve. Over the past year, we have had the privilege of supporting a range of incredible charities dedicated to creating lasting change.
Employability Skills Session
We are proud to support London Borough of Lambeth‘s Net Zero Contractors Challenge, equipping young people with the relevant skills and opportunities to step into the construction industry. Great to work collaboratively with Higgins Partnerships to empower the next generation of construction professionals within the borough.
Happy Retirement, Steve!
After 19 years of dedicated service, we bid a fond farewell to Steve Tyler, a valued Niblock supervisor, as he begins his well-earned retirement. Steve has been an integral part of the team for many years, and his experience and commitment will be greatly missed.
From the Directors and everyone at Niblock, we thank him for his contribution and wish him all the very best for the future.
A Great Customer Journey
“Very polite and friendly. I was kept updated at every stage”
“Totally happy”
“All workmen were polite and considerate”
“Steve went above and beyond”
We received exceptional feedback from residents at Kent and Essex Road, highlighting our commitment to quality and collaboration. Working with mhs homes, we have carried out external upgrade works including new windows, roof surveys, and the installation of uPVC soffits, fascias, and rainwater goods.
This feedback reflects our dedication to ensuring high levels of resident satisfaction and maintaining open lines of communication throughout the project.
New Leadership Appointments
We are delighted to announce a new phase for Niblock Builders Ltd. with the appointment of Kevin Hartland as Joint Managing Director, Warren Hand as Commercial Director, Paul Rayment MCIOB as Technical & Commercial Director and Tony Martin as Group Finance Manager.
Their contributions have been instrumental in fostering client relationships, ensuring controlled operations and enhancing service and technical standards. We are confident that their promotions, along with the new structure, will support the continued growth of the business.
Please join us in congratulating Kevin, Warren, Paul and Tony!
Samuel Lewis Trust Estate
We were delighted to support Southern Housing in reinvigorating the community space in the Samuel Lewis Trust Estate. The Estate marked the beginning of Southern Housing’s history, being their very first housing trust in 1901.
Southern Housing sought our help in enhancing the outdoor space to help restore a sense of community outdoors too. We were pleased to re-render a mural wall, finished with a whitewash to start a fresh canvas. This was then designed and completed through a community-led workshop, sponsored by Ovia, our Electrical Manufacturer. Our team were excited to volunteer and participate in the mural co-creation and painting days.
The long-term vision is to build raised beds and seating areas to form a new creative space that can function as a community garden, encouraging green fingered residents to engage in volunteering opportunities.
Mock Interviews
We were proud to support the Mock Interview Day at Dormers Wells High School as part of our Social Value initiatives on our contract with London Borough of Hounslow. It was a fantastic opportunity for the Year 10 students to meet with employers and practice their interview skills, equipping them with vital tools for future employment!

Our team is excited to be exhibiting at the SEC conference on 15th October and looking forward to connecting with many of you in person.
With several active Higher-Risk Building projects currently progressing through the Gateway application process, we are especially interested in the workshops and discussions focused on this key aspect of the Building Safety Act.
This is a pivotal moment for the industry, and we are eager to share insights, learn from others navigating similar challenges, and explore the evolving compliance landscape together.
If you are attending, we would be delighted to welcome you at our stand.
